| It all started back when i was about 6 years old. I lived in a city close to a main road , and could hear this "thunder" sound from time to time (being sound systems driving by) and my mother told me that they were sound systems in cars , so i gave them the label of being "BOOM CARS" i always wanted to boom like i was hearing out on the road so i started talking with my dad over the next few years learning as much as i could about how speakers work , enclosures , ohm loads ,and as much of electrical as i could. by now i was about 12 , freshly moved into a new town , and to amazement there was a car audio shop right at the end of the street . My new hangout . i spent more time up there listening , learning , and trying to squeeze my way into the scene . i ended up pushing a broom for them for a while and finally bought my first set of subs. i was ADDICTED ! i started piecing together as much equipment as i could and hooked it all up in my room to listen to . my older sister was bringing her boyfriends over who had or wanted sounds in their cars , and at 12-13 years old i was out there installing , tuning, and tweaking systems on a daily basis . i just couldnt get enough . so after a few years i got my license and had a few cars , and was known as the kid with the insane sounds in his car. no matter what i drove i had a system in it . i even put a system in my grandmothers chrysler new yorker :) |
I've had so many combinations of subs /amps , and configurations its ridiculous . i competed in street A for a bit , and got beat real bad by the CRX's so i quit competing for a few years . which brings me to the suburban.
I started piecing my equipment together over the corse of about 6 months , building a little at a time . i wanted one of the loudest street trucks around . with the help of a few people and some friendly advice i built the truck i have today. its still a work in progress ( like i said i always have to make improvements) and every show i have done and evry single pass i have made in the lanes i have gotten louder , and louder , and even louder ! in two weeks of competing i have taken home 2 first place trophy's , 1 second place trophy , and 1 third place trophy . i couldnt be happier with the Equipment i have purchased from soundstream . i hope in the near future the team will have one of the loudest super street 3-4 trucks in the world. |
