I have what I call a "functional+" design theory when it comes to my 350Z. Everything I do to the car has to be functional, or an upgrade of an existing design element. With this in mind, I set out to make the best performance street machine that I can. It needed it to look great, have a great sound system, and be able to compete on the track as well
I needed to keep tracking my car in mind, but did not want to skimp on a high quality sound system for the street, either. Enter Grizz Archer and the Stealth Series amplifiers & subwoofers. These were perfect for my needs. Light, compact, and great sounding. Now I didn’t have to compromise on a great sounding system that would have to be removed for the track. With Grizz's help, we designed a full Sound Quality build for the Z. This includes prototype 3 way components for the doors, including an 8", 2.5" and 1" speaker, Tarantula SST 6.5" speakers for rear fill, and a pair of 13" Stealth Series subwoofers. Power is fed to the speakers via 2 Stealth Series 4 channel amps and 1 Stealth Series mono amp. System power is run through an SCELL-1000 Capcell, and a Soundsteam PowerPlant does the distribution duties. In addition, signal processing is handled by an AudioControl DQXS crossover/eq so that I have no passive crossovers in the system.

Along with the amazing sound system in the car, I have a few other goodies as well. With a mod list the length of my arm, I'll keep to the highlights. Performance is handled by a GReddy twin turbo system and fed through an HKS HiPower exhaust. Keeping me stuck to the pavement and sitting low is a set of Stance Coilovers. Keeping me in my place inside is a set of Corbeau seats and 4 point harness's. Keeping her pretty and functional is a Cwest Carbon Fiber lip kit along with 19" Work S1 Meister wheels wrapped in Toyo Rubber. New for the upcoming season I have an APR GT Wing and Ings+1 hood to help things along.
I'm really looking forward to the new season here in the Midwest. I'll be attending various track and drift events around the Midwest, and hope to attend Redline Time Attack in Chicago. I plan on doing all this with a full competition level Soundstream system installed, proving that sometime you can have your cake and eat it, too.
