Spending over 15 years competing in and around the show circuit, either showing my own vehicle or supporting friends, one thing is certain, the passion for achieving the ultimate in quality audio flows through my veins! At home in "Bass Town" Miami FL, the concept is “He, who has the loudest car, is king.” I still love the show side of things and the fierce competition, but I have become a true fan of the purist sound. I purchased a new ‘08 Accord Coupe and swore “I’m not doing anything to this car. Two weeks later, while at Spring Break Nationals 08 visiting a fellow SQ competitor, I met up with Soundstream’s Team Coordinator, Grizz Archer, who accidentally said, “We need an SQ car on the team.” I approached him with the vehicle concept, and soon the days of “stock audio” were over. Today, the Black Widow Accord has earned props as the first 8th gen Accord on the show circuit, The only 8th generation Accord on the SQ Circuit, and the 2009 Spring Break Nationals runner up in SQi Rookie Class Sound.
I decided to take things to the next level with a full rebuild for the 2010 IASCA Competition Season. We incorporated two new Stealth Series 13” Flat Subs, three brand new Reference Series amps, a pair of Soundstream Prototype Components, VHD-9BK DVD headrest, a VDVD-200 DVD player glassed into the glove box, the Audison Bit One processor for stage and imaging, and an entire new and fresh concept for acoustics & aesthetics all wrapped in black suede. At Spring Break Nationals, the new Soundstream equipment turned a lot of heads and opened a lot of eyes! With work, dedication, passion and a phenomenal product, The Black Widow Accord finished #4 in the world in Rookie Class, 1st in the IASCA Amateur Class (a rarity in the SQi Competition world to win a highly populated class in its first year), the first SQi competition car to win its class with a “flat" Subwoofer) all this has made the “Widow" the #1 ranked Sound Quality vehicle. It just proves the old theory right, you can have beauty and incredible acoustic reproduction all wrapped up in one fine tight Package!!!
