I began competing in 2001 in MECA. I had a decent year for my first year out. In 2002, I captured the Pro Street Reality 2 SPL TN State Championship. I continued to compete in MECA, USACi, and dB Drag Racing for a couple years. My dedication got side tracked due to the birth of my son at the end of 2002. In 2004, I returned to MECA in the Sound Quality realm with a 2004 Kia Rio. I competed all throughout the season in the Street class. I finished out the season with a 2nd place finish at World Finals in Louisville KY. I took another break and focused on my other passion which is bowling. I came back in 2006 to compete in MECA’s Modified Reality 3 in the SPL realm. I earned another TN State Championship that season. I returned in 2007 to compete in Modified 1 to which I earned my 2nd TN State Championship with a 5th place finish at MECA World Finals. I purchased my 2007 Dodge Caliber during the 2008 season. I competed in MECA’s new Show and Shine format as well as some SPL competition. I won the Team HBIC, MECA’s first all-female team, Best in Show twice during this season. Due to work limitations, the 2009 season was kind of a bust. I have returned for the 2010 MECA season strong. With the support of my team, Wall Street’s Finest, and Soundstream, I am on way hopefully to a Street 1 Points Championship and a 145 + score. I am also one of MECA’s Official Photographer. I continue to compete in SPL, Sound Quality, and I take an occasional picture here and there.
My son is 3 time MECA Kids SPL World Champion. I have also been awarded MECA’s Loud Spouses Award for 2 seasons. My husband is MECA SPL and SQL World Champion, Competitor Hall of Fame, and recipient of the Alma Gates Lifetime Achievement Award. My team, Wall Street’s Finest, has been Team of the Year, Team Participation Awards, and the coveted Sexiest Exterior Bracing Award. |
